Chef Tony Gargano of Osteria Bigolaro to prepare Deconstructed Carbonara at Mid-America Restaurant Expo on September 26, 2022
Sep. 19, 2022 (COLUMBUS, Ohio) — This weekend kicks off the Mid-America Restaurant Expo, September 24-26, at the GreaterColumbus Convention Center in Columbus, Ohio. The Ohio Restaurant Association hosts the event. It will be their first live event since the onset of the Covid pandemic.
The Expo attracts thousands of industry experts, exhibitors, and operators from throughout the Midwest and features more than 50 educational seminars available to all attendees. In addition to educational seminars, some of Ohio’s and the country’s most famous chefs will conduct live cooking demonstrations.
This year Chef Tony Gargano, owner of Osteria Bigolaro and Fox Den Cooking Classes in the Chicago suburbs and participant on Food Network’s Guy’s Grocery Games and Me Or The Menu, will join the spectacular culinary lineup.
An artisan of authentic Italian cooking, Tony will prepare a Deconstructed Carbonara dish in front of a live audience. The dish is a fun take on a classic carbonara and includes crispy braised pork belly with sous vide egg yolk, parmesan cheese mouse, and crispy pasta chips.
The Mid-America Restaurant Expo is an industry-only event, not open to the public. Event participants interested in watching Tony’s cooking demonstration can join him Monday, September 26, at 2:00 pm at the Pop-Up Cooking Stage.
